Chief and Founder, Anthony Mondragon is a great-grandson of Ascención Solórsano de Cervantes, the last recorded single surviving full-blooded member of the Mustun Tribe. His great grandmother was a generous famous mystical healer with ancient knowledge of the native plants.
Ascención shared her last testimonies with John P. Harrington of the Smithsonian Institution to ensure their history be recorded.

Historically, the Mutsun people were caretakers of the Central Coast of California. We lived in balance and harmony with all that was for tens of thousands of years. It was a place of beauty where the air was clean, the water clear, and the earth abundantly fruitful. All creatures, plants and animals were equals, and were to be looked after as our own. We desire to resurrect the lost Mutsun language and revive and continue our culture on our sacred lands for all present and future generations.
